"Cutest little spot just off King! This woman-owned small business is destined for great things! Meredith is the gem of Old Town! Her skill is unmatched and she is the sweetest soul. I get sooo many compliments on my hair, even months after I’ve had it done."

"So happy I found Stephanie a few years ago! She fixed a color gone wrong from another studio and finally helped me find exactly what color works for my very dark brunette hair. I have loved every cut and color since my first appt. I have referred multiple friends who now love her, too. 100% recommend"

"Stephanie was amazing! Not only was she great to talk to, but she played great music during my cut and color! I was nervous trying someone new, as every salon has turned my highlights red or orange. Stephanie got it perfect and my hair has never looked better. 100% recommend her for brunettes!"

About Moxie
We knew Moxie was the perfect name for a partnership born during a pandemic, when the world stood still. Our friendship goes back to 2015, and we’ve always been in sync. We wanted to run our own salon, a warm space where our clients feel comfortable and walk out feeling their best. It took some nerve to strike out on our own, but we’re so glad we did!

Our Building
Our building has a pretty neat history. Once home to Wise's Tavern, it's where George Washington was first publicly addressed as President, on April 16 in 1789. Washington also celebrated the ratification of the Constitution here in 1788, and chose Wise's Tavern twice for his birthday celebrations. Talk about a local fav!
